KK Jazz Festival returns after a five-year hiatus

bringing the city’s signature celebration of jazz and live music back to the stage.

Organised by the Rotary Club of Kota Kinabalu (RCKK) and Society of Performing Arts Kota Kinabalu Sabah (SPArKS), the festival is also a charity initiative, with proceeds supporting local community and performing arts projects.

This year, KK Jazz once again invites audiences to gather, celebrate great music, and experience the unique energy of Kota Kinabalu.

Fusing soul, jazz, and cosmic-inspired soundscapes, Appy & The Cosmic Soul deliver a rich, expressive performance filled with powerful vocals and immersive musical textures.

Megan Hen is a rising jazz vocalist known for her expressive tone and refined delivery. Joined by the Wilson Quah Quartet featuring seasoned musicians with strong backgrounds in jazz performance, this collaboration brings together technical excellence and musical sensitivity, creating a sophisticated and compelling set.
A genre-blending collaboration that brings together electronic textures, jazz elements, and powerful vocals by Dasha Logan. Expect a bold, contemporary set that pushes musical boundaries.
Known for her distinctive voice and emotive delivery, Velvet Aduk brings a soulful presence to the stage, blending jazz with modern influences in a performance that is both intimate and powerful.
An international collaboration featuring virtuoso guitarist Shun Ng, joined by Yuuki Shiojima and Arthur Kam. This trio delivers high-level musicianship with a mix of jazz, improvisation, and global influences.
Closing the main sets with rhythm and flair, Anthony’s Groove Ensemble brings together tight grooves and vibrant arrangements, delivering a performance that is both polished and electrifying.
